First Field Trip

Last week we took our first spontaneous field trip to the Lied Children's Discovery Museum. While I am not a huge fan of our children's museum (overpriced and outdated discovery toys), we went because they had a special price; only $2.00 per person (thanks to Keri for tipping me off about the great price break) and  needless to say, the kids had a great time. We met up with our friend Sheri and her daughter Sophia. The kids spent the most time making bubbles (what is with the fascination between kids and bubbles?) and Eleanor Rae enjoyed her time on stage performing for us!

I really didn't think we would be there long, but three and a half hours later, we made our way home to find Jaime wondering where we had gone off to in the middle of the day. This is my favorite benefit of homeschooling; leaving during the middle of the day or late morning to get things accomplished and not having to deal with the crowds!

So, check out our pictures and see the fun that the kids had!
